American Good Design Award for SilentLab

Last year, our MICROOFFICE® collected four prestigious design awards, most recently the american Good Design Award.

Good Design Awards has been awarded by the Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design to products with innovative industrial, utility and graphic design since 1950. The jury for this prestigious award took an interest in two SilentLab products, the MICROOFFICE® PRIME and QUADRIO I, in the Furniture category. The other winners included brands like Ferrari, Philips, Zaha Hadid Design and Helly Hansen.

“I’m delighted that Czech MICROOFFICES took their place among the top global design products last year and won a number of international awards,” comments Jaroslav Vendl, one of the founders of SilentLab, adding, “2020 was an unusual year in many respects, so we appreciate the recognition even more. We perceive them as a reward for our past work, driving force for our current work, and responsibility for the future.”

About the Good Design Awards: The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and design has been handing out awards for the past 70 years, with about 40,000 products from more than 50 countries recognized in that time. This makes the Good Design Award one of the oldest, most prestigious design awards there is. Its goal is to raise awareness of contemporary design and recognize industry leaders who are pushing the boundaries with their innovative, competitive products on the world market. Each year the judges choose innovative, cutting-edge industrial, product and graphic design in many different categories.
